How to play ANAgrabber

Each ANAgrabber game comes with a grab bag, discard plate and 300 lettered tiles. All tiles are of equal value, as are the words created with them, so it's easy for beginners and experts to play together and have FUN. It's truly anybody's game!

Each player starts with 5 drawn tiles. make a word if he can and discards the remaining unused tiles.

In the ANAGRABBER® game, players can steal or ANAGRAB® other players’ words by adding letters and rearranging them to make a new word. The first player who makes and keeps six real words, spelled correctly, wins the round.

With each addition, the word becomes harder to steal. All letters from the grabbed word must be used. Letters from one's own hand and those from the discard plate may also be used to reform new, longer words.   Player cannot simply add an 's' because that's too easy, and besides where's the FUN in that!

REBATED can be ANAGRABBED as  BREATHED,  BATTERED, BREASTED, DEBATERS, BARTERED, LIBERATED, DELIBERATE, and many other combinations.  No limit to the length of words.  Words must be listed in a recent English or American dictionary. Online dictionaries are optional.

Example 1

As was the example in our Quick Intro Video. Player 1 uses his original 5 tiles and plays

LEAD and discards excess letters. Player 2 ANAgrabs Player 1's word, rearranges it to create

IDEAL  ..its yet again stolen grabbed to make

IDEALLY

Players 4 finally grabs it and adds to it to make:

IDEALISTICALLY

in theory that will be a very difficult word to swipe and rework, thereby making its staying power greater.
